strengthen tendons etc...

does hold in a heavy weight, (alot more than you can rep with joints unlocked so strain is all on muscles) strengthen your tendons?

i believe with a healthy active lifestyle and some good knowledge and aas/peps use etc that you can live a longer stronger better life.

main interests: physique conditioning, bbj, muay thai.

Progressive training strengthens tendons. It can also injure them at times!

i don't think it really works when joints are locked but i think for things where the muscle is at maximum contraction at the top of the movement eg. Preacher curls, pec dec and leg extensions static holds will help strengthen the muscle

we have 3 types of strength, Positive, negative and static

From what I understand supramaximal static holds are very taxing to the CNS but wont do much for tendons.

Heavy eccentrics on the other hand will help to develop tendon strength if used carefully, otherwise they ll wear you out pretty fast.

As people have said though, training progressively heavier over time will strengthen the tendons just fine.
