tuc i would advise going to a local back street welder/fabricator and getting a log and some farmers made up from scratch. there not hard if you have the kit and know how and they should not charge you a great deal

Check out Stan Pike at Intense Fitness one hell of a strong guy, excellent blacksmith and a real craftsman. Ugly as sin though

He's based in Scotland so give him a call and he'll show you his range of kit. He'll aslo be able to make you custom tools if you give him the specs.

check out his farmers walk bars. My mate has a set and they can be loaded to some obscene weight

I was selling my Yoke, but it has gone now, sorry.

Tom at www.strongmanequipment.co.uk makes some really good stuff at cheap prices. He made the sleds I used at White Cliffs this year and they were fantastic!

Marsbar - are the handles knurled and what diameter are they? thanks

Colin - the strongmandequipment.co.uk seems to have been unchanged in months. I had been keeping an eye on it and even emailed the guy in May but he never replied. Is he actually trading? Thanks

Call Stan on 01576 300691 or email him at enquiries@intensefitness.co.uk

Phones easier as he is in the forge most days and sometimes forgets to check his email

RE: Farmers walk bar specs - i think they're unknurled and they take standard plates. however, give him a buzz and I'm sure he could make you a pair for Oly plates as he does both standard and Oly plate thick bar dumbbell handles

    Hope that helps

Phone the number on the strongmanequipment website and tell Tom what it is you are after. He makes stuff to order. The reason why he has not updated his page recently is that he has been moving house.

I got some thick bars and "Giant's Fishing Pole" apperatus from him today. The fishing pole will be used in the sussex Showlifting Champinship I am organising in October.
