tax man

i got a letter today from tax and revenue asking about all my previous jobs and houses i have lived in
basiclly they are onto where i got the deposit for my house
i sold one we lived in 3 years ago and then put a large amount down as well as the house sale money plus a small morgage
do you think they will want to know where i got this money from
