the very quickest 50g of protien you can get

open 1 tin tuna, look in fridge for mayo to make sandwiches. find out there is no mayo, look in cupboard for alternative.....

....find heinz beans

mix the tuna and can of beans in bowl and scoff [cold beans aren't as bad as you may think].

pans out about 50g protien, 150g carbs and you get fish and a veggie in the same meal.

takes approx 8 seconds to open tuna and 3sec for beans [ring pull lid], about 10sec to mix the two and 1min to scoff.
so in 1min21sec you can have 50g protien of whole food. neat i thought.

    Cold Beans - Yuk!
Sounds ok if heated though - maybe with a little brown sauce.

Don't forget, there's something like 1.2grams of sodium in 1 can of baked beans.

    got a quicker one!

tell the missus to cook you 2 chicken breats and some veggies
go into the t.v fall asleep!
wake-up and hey presto food infront of your very eyes!

time it took to tell missus - 3 sec
when you are asleep you ain't clock watching - so time doesn't count!
time to eat food 30sec - you are always hungry after a wee nap

    total time 33sec!

    lol @ smiddy

    I've got a mate that tried that recipe. It went something like this;

Time taken to tell the missus to make him something to eat - 3 secs
Time taken for missus to smack him in the jaw and kick him in nuts - 2 secs
Time spent rolling round on floor in agony holding onto his nuts - 10 mins
Time taken to pick himself up and make himself something to eat as the missus has gone out - 10 mins
Time taken to eat food with a sore jaw - 15 mins
Subsequent time spent in dog house - 2 weeks

Total time 2 weeks 37 mins and 5 seconds

Oops, i didn't mean 1.2 grams of sodium, i meant 2.2 grams alone in the beans! So that would be nearly 2.5 grams of sodium in one of these "50 gram protein meals" alone! That's your daily recommended amount all in one go, NOT a good idea.

erm.. isn't your daily salt allowance something like 9g if your a slug an 13g if your active [and therfore sweat]

and in my chemistry lessons i remember salt being NaCl[sodium chloride] as there is only two atoms in the molecule, and they are not that far apart on the periodic table [chlorine being slightly heavier, atomic mass 35 i think], that means that 2.2g of sodium would equate to about 5g of salt, just over a third of the allowance for an active person.

    not so bad me thinks

Notice i quoted sodium... NOT salt... that 2.5 grams of sodium is over 6 grams of salt in one go (correct me if i am wrong, but i'm sure i am not). Sweating 4 grams of salt a day? impressive stuff robert... keep it up!
