who is your host provider, they should have protection against this, do you have backup, does your server give daily backups ? even if you restore your site there could still be a backdoor trojen within a file that would need dealing with as they could just carry on doing it when and where they please..

all the files are on my harddrive if that helps??
I'm in work at the mo. A friend has had a look and said the files seem to be there, but is struggling to get rid of the 'front page' that has been created for me! i.e the killed any guilt lately etc.

yes mate he should have a backup to restore to an earlier date, if he has not then he is not really offering you a great deal,

i have hack protection, daily backups etc with my provider, even if , as the other day they encounted a dos attack at there end at the worst my site runs slow or goes off for a while but is then fully restored once resolved,

i am also able to do my own full backups when i like,

as long as you have all the files from your website i should be able to sort out for you,

zip them and send them me later and ill take a look, the frontpage would just have been removed and replaced with the garbage they left,

Its hackers, some hackers spend days trying to break into a server.

I know that my point being is if other sites are getting done over by the same thing, i dought a hacker is capible of doing it simutaniously to other sites around.

Plus a hacker wouldnt go to the trouble for nearly any site. Esp when their is nothing to gain.

if u want a very good program for checking your computer download this from internet its free for 30 days after that you either pay to renew it or delete it.it will check your computer and tell you if you have a virus anywhere on or in your computer anywhere it is very good.
just type in trojan remover 6.4.9 on the internet and download it from there
