tryin to cut

trying to cut

first time iv been off steroids in a while, iv been of for about 3 months and in that time id really let myself go, diet was crap got a belly on me now. so trying to lose it by eating low carbs. a typical day wil consist of weights and light cardio. diet has been something like this

breakfast -cup of raw oats and 4 whole eggs
after workout- protein shake and banana
dinner- chicken stir fry or fish/meat and 2 veg . veg usually sweet potatoe
snacks- peanuts and tbs peanut butter an orange
supper- tin tuna and apple
before bed- protein shake

im prob about 17 stone and body fat wud be above 20% have dieted before using meds and keto diet. worked well but trying to keep the carbs low and only getting them from good sources and fruit.

iv been eating alot of bread and takeaways last 3 months so im hoping by cutting them out i see a dramatic fatloss.

what do yous think of it.

1. Diet looks very low on calories. Do you know what you're eating in terms of protein, carbs and fats? Your diet looks depressing and something tells me that at 17 stone, your body needs more fuel than what you're currently giving it.

2. Scrap the cardio. Hit your weight sessions with some intensity and resistance for 30-45 minutes, 3/4 times a week, so basically keep rest times down to a minimum- you'll be surprised at how much this hammers your cardiovascular system. Remember, when it comes to training, more isn't always better. Use the time you've just freed up to read a book or something.

3. Three months of overeating on junk food, things are bound to be slow (digestive system will have been trashed) so stick with it, give things a little bit of momentum. It could take a week, two days, threee weeks- just get that consistency going.

4. Hydration. Drink plenty of water.

If I did this I'd have no energy, my workouts would suffer, my intensity would suffer and as such my progress would suffer.

That's just me, you know your own body and how you deal with high/low carbs. If you feel something is right try it, if it isn't working once you've given it a try, try something else.

For me I keep things in moderation and work my arse off in my training. My cut deficit is maintenance -500cal and that seems to be working.

Good energy
Good strength
Good mood
Slow weight loss

Depends how quickly you want to shift the weight & if you want to maintain lean mass.

Good luck with it though bro
