vegan/DMPM..

the whole mt world knows you two are trying desparatly to beat each other at closing the CoC #2, just how close [an approximation of mm between handles would be great] are each of you...

i am about 15mm [1.5cm] off closing it yet and its really p.ssing me off, i haven't touched the #1 since i got it hardly, other than to humiliate certain people anyway... am i in the race with you to or am i miles off??

to make matters worse, i took it to work with me last week and two mates nailed it straigh away, one didn't even grimace!!!-my fiance said my face looks like im sh.tting a red hot wasps nest when i try to close it!! ha ha.

Robert, I haven't touched my CoC's this year...

The closest I got was about 5mm away, perhaps a touch less, think vegan was about the same?

Going to start training them properly soon.

    Good luck.

    HA! You wish! [:o)]

I got about 2-3mm away at my best. But yes, hard to tell, only the full close counts, 1mm or 15mm is the same in my books.

At the moment i am suffering from work related injury which is pretty much preventing my grip training, got a bloody RSI from using mouse/computer too much! I should sue my bosses, lol! ("Your Honour, my client has suffered enormously from not being able to squeese his CoC").

The funny thing though is that according to the gurus at one gripboard my crushing stats doesn't make any sense. I can do a 12.5kg straphold for 8 seconds with #1, i can break 15kg off the floor. According to pretty much everyone i've told these numbers say that #2 should be easy for me, but no luck!

Dano, good stuff mate! Though to be very very pedantic, it looks like there is a 1mm gap between the handles, lol!

Sorry vegan, couldn't remember! Did them again tonight, no progress, about 5mm away.

pusha, my friends closed the #2 striagth off [bstrd's], not the one. they are foresters, lumberjacks, call them what you will. all are very, very strong most have never been anywhere near a gym.

vegan, i suppose i have a long way to go before i get it [V], i doubt i will get it before either you or phonkman does, but when i do i will let you know .
    thanks

Vegan, please go into work and say they've caused you wrist pain and you can't squeeze your coc.

That would be so funny, I don't think they'll know what you mean.

Vegan those ends are touching i promise you or else i would not have posted it. That picture was really dark. That was actually the 3rd time i closed it......the first time my brother didnt even take the picture, the second time you couldnt see the number 2 at all and then this was the best one and i also got sick of closing it and waiting 5-10 seconds for the camera. My digital camera takes so long to take the picture.

But you can see by looking at your COC the end of the handles are rounded off smaller so you cant really see them touching and the glare from the rounded off part doesnt help.

Anyways im now on my way to the #3........just give me a couple years :)

Damn i cant close my number 1! I have closed Vegans and Dmpm's which proves that they are cheating using easier ones than everyone else! Disqualifications all round [:P]

Dano, i don't doubt you one bit mate. The lighting can play tricks though, just slammed the #1 shut and from certain angles it defo looks like there's a gap even if i was grinding the handles together. Next time need to have someone with a flashlight there, lol!

Good luck with the #3 training dano! Are you getting any other grippers to bridge you there?

beng, lol! Sorry! mine is much harder than DMPM's, but apparently (just repeating stuff from grip gurus) the gripper gets a tad bit easier after about 50 closes, and then it should stay the same (unless you let it rust like my mate did!), so when we last compared them, mine might have not actually been closed 50 times yet because it was so new.

Some people force close their new grippers about 50 times and only then start working them to get a realistic training. So all is not lost mate!

No no this contest isnt over........Vegan or DMPM still has to close that thing and declare a winner from the original contest.

Vegan - No, im not going to be ordering anymore to work up to the 3. I actually want to work more on other parts of grip/wrist training like my pinch, thick bar supporting, levering and slowly work into bending. I would like to get especially good at wrist strength as it interests me.

12.5kg straphold with a #1 and you cant close the #2? That definately is strange like you say.
