Not really as Vit C is a water soluble vit whatever you dont use will be excreted through your urine within a few hours. Thats why uts best to take it in smaller doses i find throughout the day or some of those time release vit C which i find help loads when i get a cold

As above, you excrete wastage. It would take rediculous amounts to pose as toxic.

    Unaffiliated.

I'm aware many people advocate high doses, "mega-doses" even, of Vit C. However, there is a school of thought that high doses ought to be avoided. I believe this has something to do with kidney stones or something similar. I'm sure James advocates no more than 500mg of Vit C daily as such. Needless to say, some people do argue that you "can over do vit c."

I'd not use more than 500mg daily IMO.

I once heard a wise man say "EVERYTHING in moderation" although, at times like these I believe it is a good idea to up your vit C - as above, best to take smaller doses through out the day, rather than 1 mega dose. As long as you dont maintain a stupidly high dose when not needed you'll be fine

Normaly take 500mgs a day , however if im ill tend to up this have have had 4-5 of the 1000mg water soluble ones in a day before, like theiopener says its in and out of the sytem quickly so time release ones are a good idea , too much of any vit c tho will give you a nasty case of the runs tho lol so dont over do it !!

Taking too much Vit C can cause the sh!ts, so if you haven't got the sh!ts, your body is probably absorbing and using what it's given.
