weight not really going down

Guys I'd need just a quick advice, or maybe a different perspective from someone else.

For the past month or so I am on a cut.  +- 2200 kcal maintenance, 74-75 kg.
I started the cut at 1800, which didn't do much, so I dropped to 1715 (150p, 155c, 55f) 10 days ago. Still not loosing too much.
I am fluctuating between 73-74. I weigh myself everyday (i know it's not beneficial in any way, but why not.. every morning after taking a sh*t). But it varies a lot. I am guessing it's because the time is not consistent.
I've been a bit sick as well, so I took some time off the gym.

From now on, I'll try to be on track.. weigh-in every friday at 7:50 (that's how it fits into my schedule),
3x HIIT
2-3x morning fasted walk around 45 mins
4x gym (I focus my workouts mainly on compound lifts, so shoulders, bench, deadlift, squat).

I really would not like to drop calories even further..
I was also thinking of having a refeed day soon (or maybe a cheat meal?). A refeed (just carbs) would be more beneficial for sure... what you guys prefer when cutting?

At least I am progressing on my lifts, which is the only positive thing :P

Is your body comp changing at all. Weight can be misleading. No idea what I weigh.

tbh, not really.. I too don't care that much about actual weight, rather body fat..

I remember back when I was like 18. Looking at some pics, I was much more muscular/lean than now.. I am guessing it was because of the testosterone ?

Probably. That and a faster metabolism and you'd just stopped growing. I first started to notice I had to do more and eat less in my late twenties. What age are you now?

Well you deffo won't have dropped testosterone levels at 20. Unless you mean you were on gear then.

Ye, that's true.. but I can definitely see the changes. I was eating hell of a lot more (didn't really give a sh*t about nutrition) exercised without any solid knowledge of what I was doing, and still had better gains and body comp.
Testosterone is raging between 15-18 I would say (was walking with a boner half the day :P ).

Lol, yeah what's more likely is you've stopped growing height-wise so all the extra cals aren't be used up like before. My son is just 17 and he's gone from having a tubby stomach (he's one lazy bugger) to having almost a six pack just because he's currently racing towards 6ft.

Randall....take a couple of pics, then do it again in a month and compare them, I did and the fat loss was obvious.
My weight stayed the same for six weeks, but thanks to the photos I can now see I was still dropping fat and gaining a little muscle

yep, I am thinking the same.. however I am interested in actually loosing some weight, not only a body recomp.
It's just that I can't fit into my clothes :D And it just feels much better to be lean and light..

Anyway, I had a blast on sunday night (whole pack of hot cross buns with nutella and chocolate milk).. I guess it worked as intended, as I woke up starving (doesn't happen often to me, as I am doing IF). Dropped my calories to around 1640 (1600 + fish oil). Will give this few weeks and see how it goes.. if I won't be loosing weight now, I officially run out of options.

All my new jeans are a 30" waist and are comfortable, so not exactly a 30" waist as measured with a tape measure
I can see my abs when i flex them but have some fat in the usual stubborn places, lower back, under pecs and either side of belly button, but it's getting there slowly

Can I ask what you did to loose so much in such a short space of time. What did your diet look like. It sounds like we are in a very similar position. I have just started to get fit. I lost 3.3 stone since january drinking only juice and for the last 3 weeks have gone back onto food and training daily. 3x weight sessions a week and 3x HIIT sessions a week. But I would be interested to hear how you did it.

Hi Mark,
I used the myfitnesspal app, it's a brilliant tool and it's free, it does mean you have to weigh all your food and log it but the results are worth the effort. You put your details in and tell it what you want to do ie lose, maintain or gain weight and by how much and it tells you how many calories and what macros you can have each day, I just stuck to that, it even alters calories for you as you lose weight, I think I lost weight every week except for the last 6 where my weight has stayed the same,  but thats probably down to me building a little muscle as I can see the fat dropping from the photos as I said in my earlier post.
My diet is pretty normal stuff, brown basmati rice, chicken, turkey, beef and pork occasionally, fish -tuna and frozen fillets of salmon, haddock and cod, mackerel, sardines, fruit, veg, skimmed milk, couscous, cheese, yogurt, salad, sweet potato, oats, cereal, oat cakes, nuts and seeds, the odd piece of chocolate or malt loaf. It's all about choices really, if I fancy a treat I make it fit my macros....seems to have worked so far
As for training, I didn't do any cardio until a month ago when I started brisk walking to work twicw a week, weights I do 3 times a week, on a 3 day split at home with enough weight for an 8 to 12 rep range.

Don't want to hijack this thread so if you want to ask anything best send me a message
