what do you do with all the egg yolks?

Where I live I've never seen those cartons of egg whites on sale.  I feel bad buying eggs and removing the yolks, I dunno what to do with them.  Seems wasteful.  I can eat a few a day, but it's messing up my macros to eat too many yolks.

Just eat them. How can they mess your macros up? Are you eating 15 eggs a day?

I never have spare yolks.... if whites are a must you buy them online

Liquid eggs whites delivered to your door by a fair few companies.  Google is your friend.

I usually throw one away and eat one, or sometimes eat both.

Why would you not eat the yolks?  They area much more protein dense than the whites anyway.

Seems mad to buy food and throw (the best!) half away. Why not just sub for a leaner protein if you're worried about eating fat?

Eggs are cheap as chips, £1.25 for 15 I'm not really worried about losing a yolk or two.

I guess this is the answer, thanks.  BTW I'm not in the uk any more so delivery isn't that simple.

- It is extremely wasteful
- The yolk contains more protein than the white, of higher quality, and pretty much all the vitamins and minerals
- £/gram or protein it's cheaper to just use whey protein than egg whites, whey is more nutritious, has higher quality protein, and is much easier to get down in large amounts
- Unless you're preparing for a contest and down to like 1500 calories a day I seriously doubt you can't make room in your diet for the fat calories from the yolks

Throwing yolks away is some seriously moronic, prehistoric broscience bull****. Sorry to the guys who do it, but it just is. You're throwing away the best part of a great complete food because a small part of it has the one nutrient you want and nothing else. That's what they invented supplements for.

I make home made mayo from my daughters baking which sometimes ends up with left over yolks. I don't use egg whites for protein. Whole eggs sometimes.

Think of the poor old scabby mother hen working round the clock trying to lay eggs to satisfy our protein fixes.
Unbeknown to her she is never gonna see any baby chicks materialise because they've been used as an aborted liquid gloopy yellow slime for pigswill.

You can make some pretty almost-not-disgusting bro-food desserts using egg whites though.  Feed the yolks to your dog.  If you don't have a dog, feed the yolks to someone else's dog.

Send them in post to uriel.

I know guys who compete who won't touch supplements and have eggs in 6-8 portions and they certainly don't eat 6-8 whole, a whole egg contains around 6g of protein while the white contains about 3.8g, and each yolk contains around 5g of fat, most bodybuilders don't want over 40g of fat per meal.

A yolk or two max for me, eating anything more and it makes me feel sick.

But if you want to try want some people are suggesting go ahead, but make sure it fits in with your daily requirements, I certainly don't like getting all my fat from egg yolk.

If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

Is this because of the cholesterol  in it?
Had 6 egg omelette yesterday. Complete with 6 yolks.

The cholesterol issue is clear BS, so a bit silly to throw them away if you really want them but don't because of cholesterol concerns.

I eat them, and if my girl has to take any out I eat extra ones as well.  Generally most of us over eat protein, so rather than taking yolks out to remove fat calories, I would suggest just eating the number of eggs that fits your calorie needs for that meal and not worrying about the fact protein numbers so much

I have to agree with uriels post really.  One of the most bonkers diet things I see on a regular basis is people having egg whites and somewhere else in the diet using peanut butter as a fat source.
