only ever used a speedball in pretty limited gym training, but i think the floor to ceiling ball is favoured due to it being able to take real punches instead of just rolling your hands.but there is double end bags which ive heard people saying is topper than them.

A double ended bag is floor to ceiling but is body shaped and quite solid. You can pinpoint punches from jabs to hooks to upercuts. I usually finish on this after a heavy bag workout, it moves simialarly to the small floor to ceiling ball but not as fast as its bigger. Great for accuracy and power shots. Alternatively... you can attach a laser guided sight to a headguard and aim it at your target for improved accuracy, no sure if its legal in a bout though mate.

both good in diff ways. The ball is faster and takes longer to master but will improve your hand speed and accuracy also improves head movement as it springs back at you fast and you do get caught a fair bit when you first start. whereas the bag will improve accuracy of both power and speed shots and is easier to hit. The laser guided unit is a bit cumbersome though.

depends on what you want you fist to be accurate for ?? but IMO sparring is the very best thing if you want to train your punches to be accurate

Yeah I agree mate, you can't beat sparring for improving skills. The above is useful if you can't get decent sparring.
