whats the best rep/sets for a 9 stone n00b wanting to get bigger/build muscle

whats the best rep/sets for a 9 stone n00b wanting to get bigger/build muscle

Hi guys iv finally pulled my finger out and am starting training on monday hopefully.
 
my question is what the best reps/sets for a 9 stone n00b to training wanting to build muscle, in my log i said i was planning on doing 6 reps for 4 sets but someone said they though the sets are too low and another person suggested going up to maybe 14 reps
 
am confused...... 
  
what do you suggest

    don't think there is a particular rep and set range to get bigger

    i do 3-4 sets and go to failure on each excercise i'm growing pretty well you need to be able to push yourself to do this though, thankfully i enjoy the pain.

    try 8 reps and if you can go beyond then do so squeeze out every rep you possibly can. 

    Outside circumstances are dictated by inner thoughts.

    As you have only trained your typing fingers so far you would better off IMO to do higher reps 12-15 for at least a month or maybe more, this will strengthen your conective tissue, ligaments, tendons. These take more time to adapt to weight lifting than muscle so can easily be strained jumping straight into the heavier weight of low reps.

    Remember there is no best way to train, no perfect routines, or reps, or exercises everyone responds differently.

    And for god sake just start training already!!!

    ok mate so high reps to help build up tendons and liaments.

    Why hopefuly?

    You can train with press ups, inverted rows, air squats, crunches, walking lunges, tricep bench dips, etc etc you can do these without equipment and striaght away.
