whey and gas

Who else gets massive farts from whey? Not had any for nearly 18 months due to be being on a non dairy diet as it was causing me problems before. Anyway I have been on dairy again for about 10 weeks with no issues. Apart from twice this week I have used whey and within an hour of taking it, gas/farts/stitch.

Two reasons. One lactose or dairy intolerance. But you've looked at that. Secondly (and I've had this) issues with flavours and or additives.

This, I believe. I think unflavoured will be tried next.

I have been using hemp & soy protein for the past 18 months and again no issues what so ever.

I tend to stick to unflavoured for this reason. If I want flavour I just blend some fruit with it.

As mobster says lactose, or lack of soluble fiber.

Throw in a teaspoon of milled chia seed into your shake, i went lactose free and i was still having issues, until i bumped up my fiber intake.

Are you having it with oats, as i find the fiber to be coarse and sometimes unsettling.

Unflavoured isolate + water is what I take and imo almost certain to cause zero issues.

Used to but have been using PHd Diet since I started back to the gym and no bottom burps as yet. Well, no more than usual anyway.

Dude I know for a fact that it's definitely the whey protein shakes... I hardly ever take protein shakes but when I do then holy hell..... anyone standing behind me is going to be blown to absolute sh*t!!! And it's only ever when I take the shakes that I get such violent gas lol
