will you always lose muscle?

you know post cycle and into your PCT will you always lose muscle? even if you do the PCT correctly and maintain high level of training? Say you gained 20lb on cycle, how much would you estimate to be muscle and how much fat? and how much would you lose in PCT?

basically i just trying to establish whether using steriods is worthwhile in relation to the sides you get from it. for example if you only end up gaining like 5 pound of muscle surely this wouldnt be an amazing gain?
how much muscle can someone gain on average in a year? naturally.

Everything depends on your diet and how good you training program is mate! A good PCT is essential to get your hormone levels more back to their natural level.

Depending on what steroid is used can depend on how much you loose due to some steroids having more water retention than others and when coming off that cycle the water weight will be lost which will result in the few pounds you do loose if you maintain your intesity at the gym and your diet!! Everyone losses a few pounds when finishing a cycle, don't be disheartened by that!

How much you loose all depends on whether you carry on your intensity and strict diet plan or not!!

Steroids are worth it in the end in my own opinion if you are taking it seriously. If you jsut want a quick fix for summer for example and to impress your mates then i wouldn't do it!

Again, how much you would gain naturally in a year would depend on the person themselves and how dedicated to the training program and diet they are!

Hope i was of some help :D

If you have a good mass gaining routine, but isn't that intense, would it be a good idea to alter your routine?

    1. Depends on what med your taking, also, how you react, how far you up your cals/diet ect. For example, a 4 week SD cycle, "usally" has a higher increase in water bloat than say a 8 week Epi cycle. After PCT, the mass gain lost, won't be muscle, it's mainly water weight/bloat.

    2. Hard to tell, as everyones diffrent, routines, diet, ect all difrrent. Also depends, how long you gained the 20lb's in, how long the cycle was for. If it was a short cycle, say a Dianabol only, 8 weeks 30mg, each day cycle. The 20lb's would mostly be water. The fat increase would depend on what your diet was like.

    3. 5lb's of lean muscle mass, would be qualtiy, from any cycle.

    4. Again there's not really an answer to that mate, as everyone's diffrent. Come's down to genetics, diet, routine, life style, ect.

I keep my routine the same, whever on or off cycle. You could get away with adding more volume, making it more intense, ect. As, when on cycle you will/should recovery quicker.

Big M from what i understand you can gain 0.5 muscle a week natural and 2lbs a week on steriods in ideal circumstances.

If you keep 2lbs for each week of your cycle after pct i would be quite happy.

oh, that is pretty cool. It's just ive been reading on the internet how people have been doing cycles and just losing their muscle once they stop, is this pretty much because they didnt have a good PCT?

Really? So, from those figures above, you could gain 6lbs of "lean muscle mass" after a 3 week SD cycle? 6lbs of lean muscle in 3 weeks? Or, if you did, say, a 6 week cycle of P-Plex, you could gain nearly a stone of "lean muscle mass" 12lbs of lean muscle in a month and a bit? Also, 0.5lbs a week of lean muscle mass naturaly, not going to happen. All IMO, of course tho

Big M! - yeah pct has to be nailed just like when your on cycle it seems in order to keep your gains, you may have put water on whilst on cycle and your weight may go down during pct as the you drop the water you gained off cycle.

body4life - yeah mate think firestorm told me this so im inclined to believe it, its seems realistic. Depends on so many circumstances what you gain, diff steriod are powerful than others so hard to put a number on gains. How much lean mass do you think you can gain in a week or month?

Impossible to tell/say mate, like you said, diffrent circumstances, strength of the med, diet, ect. I just think 2lbs of lean muscle mass a week, not just mass, seems high. How many people can honestly say they've gained 6lbs of lean, quality, muscle mass in a 3 week SD cycle. 6lbs is a lot of lean mass, and won't happen in 3 weeks, no matter what med IMO. I would be happy with a good 1-2lbs of lean mass after a 3 week SD cycle. Also, naturaly 0.5lbs of lean mass a week, seems high. I just can't see how you can put a number on these things.

Yeah good point mate. I wouldnt be exactly sure how much 1lb of muscle would be tbh. This would make an interesting debate.
