wrist pain

you guys probably get asked this alot but recently taken up a more street fighting style of fighting with a group of friends and i keep getting pains in my wrist we meet once a week and my wrists get to the point were i can't through a good punch.

any ideas, i've looked into my form and seems fine but i think the damage was done before i started looking at form, also could be that my partner holding the pads is not taking the power of the punch enough.

i realise that its all conditioning and should make them stronger over time but just wanted to know if there is anything i can do to speed up recovery or hel strengthen them up abit.

quick, get into the chopper!!!

Have you tried tee tree oil for the wrist ? what kind of pad are you punching? if its speed punch focus mits, make sure your partner is holding them right ie, he is meeting your punches half way sort of mirroring your movements, dont worry about power to much on these, for power use the bag for hooks for straight punches you could use a wing chun wall bag 1, 2, or 3 section, fill it with hard peas, if your training for streetfighting get all geared up and go for it, ie headgear and stuff, once a week is not enough though, hope that helped

my wrist feel like there both broken!! i woke up this morning and i cant do anything i cant flush the toilet i cant text on my phone without it giving way. so much pain, this can't be normal??

i agree once a week is not enough to realy learn something but im starting to meet with my partnet for a few hours extra a week to train in my garden.

pads using: power pads and focus pads but mostly power pads.

I would honestly leave it for them to get better and consult a doctor. Having lifted very little weights for 5 months through bad pains in my hands, wrists and upto my forearm that would be the best thing. Swimming is very good and building yourself up as i have very little pain now from it

i know how to punch i used to boxed when i was a kid, i honestly think that my partner was holding the pads to hard and not giving enough "give" when i hit it.
