you have huge biceps! what do you do for them?

if a guy has huge biceps in the gym do you ask him how he trains them?

if 2 days later you see the same guy training calves and he has small, poorly calves do you as him for his routine on them in a similar fashion you asked for his bicep routine?

cheers

would you implement either BTW?

personally, would be very unlikely to do either, ask or implement, unless i knew them and generally had a chat with them when i went into the gym. and the people who i do that with are few and far between.

But i think i would be more likely to implement the bicep regime if he had bigger biceps. Altho it could be genetic, it would make logical sense to me that as we can not judge his genes, we must presume that his biceps training must be superior to his calf training. Also, just on another note, i would not advise him how i believe he should train his calfs, but thats a whole different arguement

If the guy trains his calves with the same intensity as he trains his biceps then I'd imagine they're unlikely to be underdeveloped.

If they're small and his routine stinks then of course I wouldn't pay much attention to him.

Some people obviously prioritise other body parts over others.

When training biceps maybe major emphasis is placed on every rep of every exercise
Maybe calf training just goes through the motions

.....Sorry I've forgotten what the question was??

imo he knows how to train his biceps and what suits his biceps. Saying that, i dont judge peoples knowledge on thier appearence, so maybe not. But if he had MASSIVE biceps then im going to say yes, he knows how to train arms and his calfs could equally be down to lack of knowledge or a genetically weak area.

Dont think this really answers your question but i cant express what i want to say cause ive just done 6 sets of deads on a cut, u no how it is...

might ask and see if there is anything i could implement but im o his training nine times out of ten will be wank and he will just have good genetics! i think a lot can be learned from implementing other peoples training in your own but you have to be very wary of false propehets lol

Could also be a genetically weak area, and a lot of people have lacking calfs as they are different to train than other areas imo

No i wouldnt bother as long as im happy with my routine and have confidence init. The only time i ask some1 something in the gym is for a spot.

Ive trained to long in my gym to realize that peoples size does not always equal knowledge. Ive seen so many boys grow by using poor routines, poor diets, and **** loads of gear.

Also what works for 1 will not always work for another. I train by the rule just concentrate on your own training and give 100%

I have to agree with that. In my commercial gym I have only seen about 4 other people who, IMO, train properly.

    Unaffiliated.

That's why I put the same intensity rather than the same way. People train biceps with all different type of training methods - supersets, drop sets, pyramid sets, 21's, but generally only train the calves one way - x sets of x reps.
If however said guy trained his calves as hard as he trained his guns, and I witnessed this training, and they still were underdeveloped, well perhaps I may still take his advice.

Actually, that's absolute nonsense. I don't listen to what anyone in the gym tells me - they're all muppets.

I'd say I'm an inbetween. I wouldn't ask someone "what's your bicep routine" then use it; not even close. I would however, ask someone their favourite tricep/upper back/whatever movement, and ask why. There's no way I'd follow someone else's routine blindly, but at the same time, would love to know how someone feels about yates rows/military press, etc etc

On a serious note I wouldnt ask someone but.........

If I did see someone with massive biceps and I was sure they were natural I would be intrigued (difficult though)
But If someone is obviously hammering juice and have huge biceps then you its not the same as they could be hammering 2 grams of test and week with a very average routine and diet

Cricket_fire i know im not irishbeast i just speaking for my gym an i wouldnt ask most of them anything. Example one of the boys has prob got 19 inch arms and pretty lean an he didnt how many muscles make up a tricep or quad. His size just come from his gear, slin and growth and LOTS of it.

Tony1blue im not saying this is true for every1 im just saying from my gym and people i know. And i can honestly say NO it def not from that. But im also not saying that this apply to every1 that takes gear ive taken and will take again myself.

I know his diet, ive seen his routine so i say for this particular person then no its not from that. And i def wouldnt ask him what he does for his arms.

No not at all mate. What Im saying is someone who has massive guns naturally probably (but not always) will have a **** hot routine. But it is possible (im not saying easy) to get massive biceps with heavy gear usage with average diet and training.

Im a gear user so im not having a go at anyone who does. Just a thought
